    Kundalini Yoga with Marcia Frescura

    Kundalini Yoga was first designed for householders as they were too busy to meditate and practice yoga all day. This system was designed to give them the same benefit in less time....sounds like something most of us could use, right? Find out more about the complete system of Kundalini Yoga.

    Bio - Marcia Frescura - Marcia has been practicing yoga for over 14 years, the styles have varied from Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara, to Kundalini. Her background includes meditation, metaphysical and spiritual studies for over 20 years.


    Introduction to the Chakras with Shazia Gogia, RYT500
    Saturday, March 20, 1:30-2:30pm - Note time change!

    What’s the fuss about? Where are these chakras? Are my chakras blocked??? Join us for an introduction to 7 basic chakras. We will explore each chakra and:

    • their colors, names and location
    • the elements they relate to
    • energies of each chakras
    • organs they effect
    • their interactions with our physical and mental parts of our being.
    • how they effect our daily lives and our well-being.

    Bio - Shazia Gogia - Trained in classical Hatha and therapeutic yoga as RYT500, Shazia teaches Hatha yoga, restorative & gentle yoga, and therapeutic yoga with compassion, love and healing in a safe and nurturing environment. She loves to nurture people with physical limitations, size limitations, injuries, trauma, rehab, surgery recovery, seniors, pain management, or with other health challenges with therapeutic yoga that focuses on breath work (pranayama), gentle yoga, mudra, stretches, meditation and healing. She is also a certified yoga therapist, Ayruvedic chef and consultant, and teaches workshops and teacher training courses on Yoga and Ayurveda.


    Yoga For Golfers with Kathleen Gregory

    Want to develop the mental discipline that golf demands? Golf is not just about the right body mechanics, which of course yoga can help with. But, gaining control of your mind and learning how to reduce your stress in the game can change your golf experience completely. Come have fun and learn some new physical and mind moves!

    Bio - Kathleen Gregory - Kathleen blends her love for an active, vigorous yoga practice with the mental focus and relaxation of more passive poses to offer this unique yoga class for golfers.


    Walking Stick Meditation with Lynne Kinghorn
    Sunday, April 18 - 12-1pm

    Is your walk routine not fun? Are you walking with intention? What are the benefits of walking? In this class you will find fun, creative and challenging ways to liven up your walking routine.
    Format: Discussion and Movement including Exuberant Animal Warm Ups and Walking Stick Movements. Everyone welcome! Limit 15 people - If you already have a walking stick, please bring it with you!


    Using Yoga Props with Joe D'Arcy
    Saturday, April 24 - 3:30-4:30pm

    Ever wonder what that wall full of props is all about? Props like blocks, bolsters, belts and wedges support the body so that muscles can lengthen in a passive, nonstrenous way. Correct use of props allows us to experience full benefit from asanas regardless of our range of flexibility or fitness level. And yet yoga props are not just for beginners or more limited students. Come tinker with items from the prop wall and see how they might enrich your yoga experience, whether it be giving greater comfort and ease to the beginner or bringing fresh, creative ideas to those with more established practices. Format: Discussion and Movement. All levels welcome!

    Bio - Joseph D'Arcy (M.S., RYT200) - Joe has been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching since 2007. His experience and background as a Special Education teacher inspires him to make yoga accessible to all levels of students. He enjoys modifying postures and practice sequences to suit the needs of individuals. Joseph lives in Vista with his wife Amy and sons Gabriel (7) and Shane (1). And More Coming...
