Marjorie

Teaching Yoga at Yoga Vista combines two of Marjorie's passions: helping others create a better life and the ancient practice of Yoga. Through Yoga, Marjorie says, she initially was looking for greater mobility and strength to counteract the degeneration to her spine from congenital scoliosis and two spinal surgeries. What she also found was confidence, strength of spirit, a sense of community, and a more active, joy-filled life.

Her greatest desire as a Yoga Teacher is to help others find the same joy and freedom—especially people who think they don't have the right body type to practice Yoga. Marjorie completed Yoga Teacher Training through the True Nature School of Yoga in Oceanside under the instruction of Danielle Osicki and mentorship of Sherry Zak Morris and Justine Shelton.

 


Yoga for Every Body

"Yoga for Every Body" is designed for people who think their body is too big, too small, too inflexible, or too old for Yoga. Based on the traditional Hatha style, this class includes stretches to build flexibility, strengthening poses to increase stability, balancing poses for more mobility, and opportunities to reconnect mind & body. Modifications to poses are offered to allow people with varying abilities to experience the benefits of Yoga. You'll soon discover that your body isn't too-anything for Yoga! All Levels/Gentle.
