Jen Haase has been practicing Pilates for almost 10 years. She first discovered the wonderful benefits while taking a class at her community college and always raved about the results. Years and years later she stumbled into Yoga Vista for a yoga class and fell in love. Volunteering as a front desk worker lead to gaining the studio manager position, and after many talks with students about how great it would be to offer a Pilates class at Yoga Vista to compliment all the yoga, Jen decided to take the leap and go back to school.
Jen graduated from Mira Costa College's Pilates certificate program in 2011; completing all the required classes in Pilates, biology, kinesiology, and an intense 150 hour internship through Yoga Vista and Tri-City Wellness. She now has the pleasure of teaching students the amazing work of Joseph Pilates, and showing how great a Pilates practice can be for your yoga, your work-outs, and everyday life!
Come join Jen on the mat for a great class concentrating on Joseph Pilates original teachings; filled with fun props, lessons on body awareness, an active core work-out, and a underlying theme in connecting mind and body. This is a great addition to anyone's regular yoga practice!

Pilates Mat
Our Pilates Mat classes provide students with an introduction to the basic principles of the Pilates method. You will learn the three foundations of Pilates movement -- hip differentiation, shoulder stability, and stabilized rotation -- learn how Pilates builds strength, flexibility, and balance into everyday moves.
