Shirley Gudmundson

Shirley
Shirley discovered Yoga when she was 18 years old for the first time after taking a class at Palomar college in 1974. It was not until 2007 that she returned to Yoga and began to take the mind, body and spirit journey more serious!

Shirley became certified and RYT through Mira Costa College. She has completed a mentorship program with Sherry Zak Morris. She continues to be amazed at the transformative power yoga has on so many of us! Appreciation of such an ancient, holistic way of healing is a path that she continues to explore. Yoga offers a way to slow down and connect with the many layers of our emotions. Discovering a way to calm the mind and revitalize everyday living is a gift that should be shared! My passion is guide others so they can enjoy the many benefits of yoga and understand YOGA truly is for Every Body!

Gail Blair

Gail
My personal yoga practice reaches back over three decades. The strengths that I bring to each hatha yoga class are the results of my own transformation. Inspired how the ancient healing practice of yoga allowed my body, mind and spirit to naturally align to a harmonious level. When I understood the powerful transformation that a yoga practice brings to your life I knew I had found my pathway in the journey of my life.

My teaching practice began ten years ago when I received my 200 hour level R.Y.T. from Yoga Alliance training under teacher Cindy Gibbons.

The focus of my teaching is a gentle style of hatha yoga, restorative yoga and chair yoga. I offer variations and modifications of the asanas while encouraging self acceptance. This allows each person a safe and gentle exploration of where they are in the present moment.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing our time together.

Rosemary Parks

Rosemary
Teaching the possibilities of yoga at Yoga Vista is her privilege. Her class intent is to guide the students in creating space - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually as she mindfully shares the joy of movement and the beauty of yoga with others.

Rosemary received her BS from UNMC and continues to work as a RDH health care provider. After years of unsuccessful pain-management with traditional methods for RMI, stress and strain that come with the physical demands of her job, she has found Yoga to be the best treatment, offering freedom from pain and an increased range of motion.

Jennifer Suchman

Jennifer
Come flow with Jennifer on October 12th at 6pm - Vinyasa Flow! Jennifer has been practicing yoga since 2001, teaching since 2008. She received her 200-hr certification from Mira Costa College and has participated in workshops with some awe-inspiring teachers such as: Roger Cole, Leslie Kaminoff, Paul Grilley, Justine Shelton and Sherry Zak Morris among others. She also currently practices on a regular basis with a variety of accomplished teachers.

Despite not having a background in personal training, pilates, dance, martial arts or sports, she has worked for most of the last 26 yrs in counseling and health care. She has confessed to being pretty uncoordinated and had rather bad posture. However, through the practice of yoga she has gained not only a physical strength and balance but an emotional strength as well, that has been a great support in challenging times. She has also gained some stillness of mind, not to mention much better posture. These are the kinds of benefits she would like to share with you. Namaste : ) Jennifer
