I know many of you are experiencing some financial issues that limit the amount of time you can come to the studio. Thus, why we have created a whole new class format - $5 classes! These classes are offered during the day time by our lovely Yoga Vista teachers. Try them out! Pay a $5/drop-in or use your class cards or unlimited passes.

    Energy Flow with Larisa - Mondays 10:30-11:45 am

    This class will give you different breathing techniques for the benefit of active movement. This class is about spirit & strength. Experience your ability to challenge for better flexibility and stronger SELF. Doing a creative blend of gentle and active poses and vinyasas, will lead you to joy and enlightenment. Level 1/2 Active

    Yoga for a Healthy Back with Benita - Wednesdays 10:30-11:45 am

    A therapeutic approach offering healing and prevention of injuries and ailments. Learn healthy movements of all the major joints of the body with special attention given to developing a functional and happy spine. In this class we will explore the basic body mechanics of the spine and limitations during injury. All Levels/Gentle

    Beginners Kundalini with Marcia - Fridays 10:30-11:45 am

    Just as all rivers end up in the ocean, all yoga ends up raising the kundalini. What is the Kundalini? It is the creative potential of the human being. Beginners Kundalini is a weekly exploration of the fundamentals of Raja Yoga, each week we will touch on a different aspect of this yoga practice, from Pranayam, Asana, Mantra, Mudra and much more. It is my hope that adding Kundalini to your yoga practice will deepen all your yoga classes and your life. Level 1/2 Active

    Soft Chakra Flow with Larisa - Fridays 12:00-1:15 pm

    Short meditation is an important part of the class, to prepare you for a mellow flow of poses and vinyasas. This class will help you to improve your flexibility and balance, and to enjoy the body you have. The creative approach of this class will serve your spirit and elevate you. The focus of the class is on stretching and toning muscles. The slow and gentler pace of the class will help you slow down a bit at any age. All Levels/Gentle

    This Yoga Life! - Sundays 6:00 - 7:15pm

    This Yoga Life is not just your typical Asana practice. This Yoga Life is also about philosophy, Meditation, and self reflection. Classes will have group discussions on subjects such as Karma Yoga, Sutra study, the Yamas and Niyamas... starting with Meditation and ending with Savasana. Bring your mat, bring a notebook and pen, and bring your wide open heart. All Levels.

All Together Now! Donation Only Class! Sundays at 4:30pm

Led by recent Yoga Teacher Graduates

    All Together Now! is Yoga Vista's first donation based class. Yogis and Yoginis of all types can feel comfortable growing their Yoga practice in a fun community setting. Enjoy a variety of teachers and styles throughout the month, and open the door to sharing your practice with all! At Yoga Vista, Yoga truly is for everyone!

FREE! New Student Orientation

Every Second Sunday of the Month
12:00 - 1:15pm - Sunday, January 9, 2011

If you are new to Yoga or considering embarking on a new Yoga practice, join Marjorie Old for a FREE orientation to Hatha Yoga. We'll cover:
  • An introduction to yoga, including history and benefits
  • What to bring to a yoga class
  • Expectations for attending a yoga class
  • What your Yoga instructor wants to know
  • Greeting with "Namaste"
  • An opportunity to practice a few common poses
  • Assistance finding a comfortable seat-something that will make your Yoga experience more pleasant
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat (if you have one). Open to everyone! Check the online schedule for more info.

FREE! Yoga Cancer Recovery

We are honored to offer two FREE Yoga for Cancer Recovery classes to any cancer patient and/or their caregivers. These classes are suitable for everyone and no prior yoga experience is required. Enjoy this gentle, uplifting class where students will learn techniques they can take "off the mat" and incorporate into their own recovery.

Yoga Vista is proud to partner with the San Diego County and City Library Systems to provide FREE yoga classes to the community. Check Schedule.

We offer free yoga classes, programs and educational sessions to the community as part of our Karma Yoga Offering. Simply said - we give to you, so you can give to others. Pay it forward.
